TOK event

Yesterday and today there was an IB TOK (theory of knowledge) event held at ISB, the International school of Brussels, with the theme belief. A couple of us SSB students attended the event where we got to listen to lectures by different speakers from the different areas of knowledge. We had group projects together with the students from the four other IB schools, Antwerpen international, St Johns, British school of Brussels and International school of Brussels. On Friday night we had dance activities in the gym, followed by a pizza party. It was very interesting to listen to the speakers, amongst them were for example Beddru an Italian artist, Dan Hunter a former triathlete who now runs a company helping people improve their health and Philip Weiss author of the book Hyperthinking and founder of ZN. The aim of the event was to broaden our way of thinking and teaching us the power and weaknesses of belief.

Ice-skating

Today SSB organised an ice-skating day for us students at Leuven. The weather was warm outside, but we spent the day in the cold arena skating and having fun together.

Hello Amsterdam!

Yesterday Me, Ann-Elise, Oda and Lisa took the bus to Amsterdam to celebrate Lisas birthday. We arrived in Amsterdam around 12.00 and our bus back left at 22.00 so by the end of our day of walking around Amsterdam city our feet were pretty tired.
We managed to see lots of things, the flower market, the fault in our stars bench, rijksmuseum and we walked past Anne Franks house. The weather was nice and sunny and we ate lunch on a bench near the flower market and rested in the park outside rijksmuseum, listening to the song Amsterdam. On Leidse street we found a bench with free books and we took an Amsterdam souvenir each, so now I have a Engels-Nederlands pocketwoordenboeken. Today it's 15 degrees and sunny, at the moment I'm eating breakfast out on the veranda and soon we will go out and just enjoy the warm weather.
